Saryu means sand flowing in an hourglass and represents a precious moment in time where guests can relax and indulge in a traditional and exquisite omakase dinner, Chef Seiji Sudo’s tribute to Japanese cuisine.

Sushi Saryu offers diners an exceptionally private experience, with an exclusive sitting for only 6 guests per day. Diners will enjoy a unique and utterly memorable omakase journey, with every dish prepared and cooked right in front of them solely by Chef Seiji Sudo.

AMBIENCE

Sushi Saryu offers minimalist and cosy cave-inspired dining space features a traditional omakase counter made of Hinoki wood, one of the most elegant and durable woods in the world. It is renowned for having an absolutely gorgeous aromatic scent and beautiful texture and gives the interior of Sushi Saryu an unpretentious elegance.

FOOD

Quality and fresh ingredients are the soul of Japanese cuisine. Our seafood is delivered from Toyosu market in Tokyo from trusted partners who specialize in each type of seafood and who Chef Sudo has a long-standing relationship with. Our selected produce constantly changes, as every dish is influenced by seasonal availability. When the produce arrives at the restaurant, each piece is aged and prepared by Chef Sudo himself to ensure the best umami taste is achieved before being served to his diners.

A visionary in Bangkok’s premium omakase scene, Chef Sudo boasts nearly 28 years of culinary mastery. After playing a pivotal role in launching the city's first Michelin-starred omakase, he founded Tamasushi—a highly sought-after, six-seat experience that earned Michelin recognition for three consecutive years.

Currently the driving force behind Sushi Saryu, Chef Sudo has led the restaurant to consecutive Michelin Guide listings and numerous prestigious awards since its inception. Uniquely, his expertise extends far beyond the cutting board. Guided by his belief that "great sushi deserves great drinks," he personally designs Sushi Saryu’s celebrated beverage pairings, earning the restaurant a rare placement on the Michelin Interesting Cocktail List for two consecutive years.
