ABOUT CHEF
Chef Luca Spanu brings over 15 years of international culinary experience, having worked in acclaimed restaurants across Italy, the Netherlands, the Maldives, and Thailand. Early in his career, he trained at the Bocuse d’Or Europe award-winning New Nordic restaurant led by Geir Skeie in Norway, laying the foundation for his global culinary journey.
Born and raised in Oristano, Sardinia, Chef Luca draws inspiration from his family and the rich culinary traditions of his homeland. Influenced by the sea, farms, and forests of Sardinia, his cooking celebrates authentic Mediterranean flavours while emphasizing connection, hospitality, and memorable dining experiences.
Based in Thailand since 2022, Chef Luca has expanded his expertise through his work across large-scale dining operations, events, and weddings in Phuket and Rayong. At Salvia, he brings the authentic flavours, culinary heritage, and warm hospitality of Sardinia to every guest experience.
