PROFILE
Gaa offers a trans-Asian culinary journey and is widely regarded as another version and natural sibling to the famous Gaggan for obvious reasons. Located right opposite Gaggan, it serves dishes different in taste, creativity and presentation. The set menu is recommended as well as reservations.

AMBIENCE
The ambience is industrial chic with its chesterfield inspired banquet, tiled floors, concrete ceilings, Scandinavian styled chairs and industrial lighting complete the non-generic restaurant decor.

MUST TRY:
A must try dish is the sous-vide pork ribs, glazed with our tamarind sauce, or fermented peas, and topped with a layer of diced onion, pomegranate glaze and coriander.

SERVICE
The restaurant is well organized; from its attentive, professional and courteous staffs to the top-notch service and presentation. The dishes and wines are being served timely between dishes (wine pairing menus) accompanied by detail description from the waiter.

FOOD
Diners choose between the 10 courses tasting menu or its 14 counterpart which changes every three months to accommodate seasonal specialties. Signature dishes include Thai-influenced kanom la, caramelised web forms a light, crisp taco shell around a piece of fresh-grilled grouper—to delicious, soft crunchy effect. The Organic Burnt Coconut Sugar ice cream dessert served in a red jasmine rice cone will leave you asking for more. The wine pairing is creative and a recommend pairing will be the Riesling, the Atanasius Gut Oggau, and the Chateau Joly Cuvee Jean pairing.

SUMMARY
The Indian flavors and spices in the dishes are limited. The concept is awesome and Chef Garima is trying very hard although some dishes need improvement. Gaa provides a fun dining experience with two great tasting menus. Neighbor and mentor Gaggan present a stiff competitor and it will take Chef Garima a lot of work to compete with him, but she has all it takes to reverse the situation.
