Acqua is a 60-seat restaurant located in the Ploenchit area of Bangkok, with an upscale exterior and interior design. The restaurant offers an outdoor lounge area and two private rooms on the street-level floor.

OVERVIEW
Located in Soi Somkid opposite Nai Lert Park, nestled between the new Aman Hotel, Ecole Ducasse, and Central Embassy. Acqua Restaurant is located in an independent building surrounded by centenary trees and a Mediterranean garden. Acqua boasts a walk-in extensive wine cellar with over 500 different labels, and a show kitchen where customers can see while eating their dinner.

AMBIENCE
Acqua is gorgeously designed and is a modern gourmet Italian dining venue. The ambiance is very contemporary with Italian touches on the design added to the elegant and luxury elements, giving the restaurant a warm and memorable atmosphere. Decorated with undulating waves and buoyant bubbles it reflect the restaurant’s name; Acqua, the Italian word.

MUST TRY:
Raw sicilian Red Prawns Rosso di Mazara with Smoked Mozzarella Cream, Sardinian Sea Urchin and Siberian Caviar.

FOOD
At Acqua chef Alessandro Frau serves contemporary Italian cuisine which he calls it “the evolution of Italian cuisine”. Patrons return to Acqua for the 55 minutes slow cooked egg on Parmigiano Reggiano fondue, black truffle and crispy pancetta powder, the Sous vide cooked Octopus salad, marinated in extra virgin olive oil, lemon and vinegar, fennel leaves, celery and Taggiasche olives DOP and the squid tagliatelle marinated with mint and extra virgin olive oil, Siberian caviar and cucamelon.

Other Italian specialities include the Sardinian smoked eel, served with pickled vegetable sweet and sour white balsamico vinegar sauce and the Mediterranean Red Mullet pan fried with a light aromatized breadcrumbs crust, buffalo mozzarella sauce, Taggiasche olives, Italian tomato datterino, Sicilian capers and oregano from Pantelleria island.

For those who prefer meat, try the succulent wood-fired roasted suckling pig, saffron and Violette potatoes, broad beans, and sugar peas in its sauce.
