FOOD
NASI GORENG DAUN UBI
A distinctive Malaysian fried rice dish inspired by the traditional flavours of Borneo. This unique creation features fragrant rice stir-fried with finely chopped cassava leaves (daun ubi), imparting a subtle earthy flavour and vibrant green colour that sets it apart from conventional fried rice. The cassava leaves are carefully cooked to achieve a tender texture while preserving their natural taste and nutritional value.
The dish is enhanced with a blend of aromatic local ingredients such as garlic, shallots, chilli, and savoury seasonings, creating a well-balanced combination of smoky, spicy, and umami flavours. Our Nasi Goreng Daun Ubi serve with fried whole leg, crispy anchovies, fresh cucumber, and traditional condiments such as sambal belacan for an extra burst of flavour.
Inspired by the rich culinary heritage of Sarawak, Nasi Goreng Daun Ubi celebrates the use of locally sourced ingredients that have long been cherished in indigenous and traditional Malaysian cuisine. The addition of cassava leaves not only enhances the dish's flavour and texture but also reflects the region's appreciation for wholesome, farm-fresh produce.
Hearty, flavourful, and comforting, Nasi Goreng Daun Ubi is an excellent choice for those looking to experience an authentic taste of Borneo while enjoying a modern twist on one of Malaysia's most beloved comfort foods.
