The core concept of Small Dinner Club is the exploration of Thai cuisine, culture, and what it means to be Thai.
OVERVIEW
At SDC, we respect traditions and classical techniques while also applying our learned skills and knowledge, working on the edge of our understanding to take Thai cuisine into new territories. SDC is a unique restaurant in that our diners come here not just to be satiated and have tasty food but also to have a singular experience. The food, the design, the feeling, the service, the materials that are used, the tableware. The experience has been carefully curated to enable our guests to discover and enjoy a variety of ingredients, compositions, and flavors. And rather than formal, our service is very warm and friendly with the ultimate wish to provide an exceptional experience instead of aiming to offer something opulent.
AMBIENCE
Set in a 2-storey house in the historic town, Small Dinner Club exudes mystery and charm. The dimly lit interior sports a striking earth-tone dark color scheme.

FOOD
Thai cuisine is pulled apart, questioned, and reimagined. That sums it up pretty well. There’s excitement in the air when you enter SDC. It’s playful, tricky, and avant-garde, but never to the degree that it becomes a gimmick. Underneath is knowledge, respect for produce, and a healthy dose of curiosity. Chef Sareen dives into his Thai roots but also sprinkles influences from other parts of the world.

ABOUT CHEF
Chef Sareen began his professional career in a much different vein, spending most of his years in Melbourne working in advertising as a photographer and director, but eventually, he began gravitating toward the F&B world. After closing, chef Sareen spent approximately one year traveling the world via back-to-back stints working at several renowned restaurants, including Brae in Victoria; Benu in San Francisco (three Michelin stars); Fäviken in Sweden (two Michelin stars); and Inua in Tokyo (two Michelin stars) before returning to his hometown Bangkok to open Small Dinner Club.
