AMBIENCE

The Siam Tea Room is designed in a contemporary Thai style with exotic flair, featuring traditional wood paneled walls, lacquer ware, artistic Thai furniture, classic celadon ceramics from Kanchanaburi Province, Aranyik steel cutlery from Ayutthaya, and staff uniforms made using indigenous “mor hom” fabric that exudes warm and friendly Thai charm.

ABOUT CHEF

Ms. Supattra Kammai, known as Chef Aoi, is the talented Junior Sous Chef at The Siam Tea Room, the authentic Thai restaurant at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park. A native of Ubon Ratchathani in Northeast Thailand’s “Isaan” region, Chef Aoi is passionate about using local and seasonal ingredients to craft flavorful Thai dishes inspired by her roots.

After earning her degree from Bansomdejchaopraya University, she honed her culinary skills at Crowne Plaza, The Sukhothai Bangkok, and Capella Bangkok, before joining Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park in 2021. Today, as Junior Sous Chef, Chef Aoi combines traditional Thai recipes with modern techniques to present exceptional cuisine from Thailand’s four culinary regions — South, Central, North, and Northeast.
