AMBIENCE
The dining space of Restaurant I-Sang, designed by PAVA Architects, draws inspiration from the Korean Han-ok, balancing light and shadow, modernity and heritage. Guests are welcomed by Chef Steve at the open kitchen, transitioning from bright exterior to an intimate, dimly lit interior. The main dining area features handmade Lampang tiles and natural textures, complemented by artworks from renowned Thai ceramic artist Aor Sutthiprap.
MUST TRY
Perilla Oil Kal-Guksu & Korean Fried Crab
FOOD
Perilla Oil Kal-Guksu: Sesame oil and perilla oil are essential for an authentic Korean culinary experience, much like olive oil is for Italians. The bowl holds freshly homemade and knife-cut noodle, enriched by adding local shrimp mousse, and a delicate Korean zucchini noodle roll on top, with a sprinkling of perilla seed.
Infused with a delectably unique fragrance, the dressing made of artisan perilla oil air-flown from Korea introduces authentic aroma of Korean seasoning.
Korean Fried Crab: At I-Sang, blue swimmer crabs are used for the soft-shell crab instead of the mud crabs typically used in soft shell crab dishes. This choice results in a meatier and cleaner flavor. The deep-fried soft-shell crabs are thoroughly coated with a paste made from gochujang and ganjang, then topped with garlic, shallot crumble, and deep-fried curry leaves.
PRICING
Tasting course is priced at THB 3,980 ++ and 6-glass wine pairing program could be enjoyed at THB 2,000 ++
