Festive Afternoon Tea

Throughout December, The Authors’ Lounge presents its Festive Afternoon Tea, combining seasonal whimsy with the elegance of one of Bangkok’s most iconic salons. The menu includes savouries such as smoked salmon “Christmas tree” sandwiches, Paris ham and Comté “gloves”, and egg and winter black truffle “ornaments”, followed by warm traditional scones, house-made jams and a selection of pastries, from Mont Blanc “snowballs” to Grand Cru chocolate “yule logs” and classic Stollen. Served with a curated tea selection, the experience captures the charm and nostalgia of the season. The Festive Afternoon Tea experience is priced at THB 3,200 ++ per person.

Festive Hampers

Share the season’s most thoughtful pleasures with friends and family through the 2025 Festive Hampers from The Mandarin Oriental Shop. The collection includes two signature offerings: The Oriental Luxury Hamper (THB 17,500) and The Oriental Premium Hamper (THB 6,200), each beautifully presented and filled with artisanal treats. Both hampers feature festive classics such as English Fruit Cake, Stollen, traditional Panettone, raspberry Linzer cookies, organic mulberry honey, chocolate-coated nuts, Black Highland Tea with young ginger and the hotel’s celebrated Biscuit de Savoie.

An extended range of seasonal cakes, macarons, gingerbread, chocolate figurines and hand-crafted jams provides additional ways to share the flavours of the season.

For guests celebrating at home, the Festive Gourmet collection offers roasted Christmas turkey, mulberry honey-glazed ham, Beef Wellington, organic duck, seafood towers and other specialities crafted for effortless holiday gatherings.

Christmas Eve by the River

The season’s highlight is on Christmas Eve with the International Buffet Dinner at Riverside Terrace, where guests begin the evening with a welcome cocktail at The Authors’ Lounge before heading through the garden for the hotel’s signature Christmas Eve celebration; THB 12,000 net per adult, THB 7,000 net per child (6–12 years).

Soft lights, holiday décor and the gentle flow of the Chao Phraya set the mood for a festive night ahead. The generous international buffet features premium seafood, Thai specialities and Christmas favourites, accompanied by Christmas carols, live performances by Khun Pure and Khun Platong, and cheerful appearances by Santa and his Santarinas. As the evening draws to a close, a festive firework display lights the river in celebration.

Terrace Rim Naam – Thai Buffet Dinner
