Shamba Café & Shop has grown into a vibrant farm-to-table restaurant, farm shop, and garden center. The idea took root in 2016 when Paul and Squeaks Simkin introduced Michelle Gilardi to a two-acre plot nestled within a 500-acre farm at the University of Nairobi’s College of Agriculture and Veterinary Science. Inspired by the setting, Gilardi recognized it as the ideal foundation for her next venture in Kenya, which would later flourish into Shamba Café & Shop.
