The Embassy established in 1948, one of the oldest restaurants in India started which started a year after India’s independence. The decades’ old restaurant located in 11-D Connaught Place, New Delhi is delightful with new, chic interiors after been devastatingly damaged some years back. With mouth-watering dishes and tempting delicacies, the rich culture of Delhi reflects in every facade of the food from preparation to presentation.

MUST TRY
Classic Fish & Chips, a Golden fried sole fillet with French Fries.

AMBIENCE
The wooden decorative, a floating ceiling, white arches with wrought iron-all make a calming and pretty ambience.

SERVICE
The service is quite slow and the restaurant is usually crowded. The waiters are of vintage variety; friendly and courteous.

FOOD
The menu card which boasts a huge list of food items is segregated under different categories such as ‘Heritage of India’, ‘Old Glory from 1948’, etc, all to emphasize its legendary dishes. Garlic bread layered with butter; Chicken malai tikka; chicken Steak sizzler fresh lime soda. While vegetarians have Creamy Mushroom Toast, Classic Cheese Toast, Embassy signature Tikka, Palak Paneer; Shami kebab;White Chana; Chicken Espetada (Chicken Marinated Overnight with Thyme Burnt Garlic Served With Creamy Mayo), shrimp skewers; Tandoori Platter- (Paneer, Mushroom, stuffed Potato); Embassy Pudding; Dal Makhni and Paneer Lababdar. From mocktails, Dusky Sunset, a Guava juice with lime coriander and green chilli. There is a limited list of drink varieties.

PRICING

SUMMARY
While good selections on the food and drink menu are responsible for the satisfactory experience, a bit of creativity in a few dishes would not be a bad idea, making the food not so predictable. With hundreds of loyal clientele, Embassy restaurant remains one of the city’s best restaurants.
