Yi, which stands for art in Chinese, is a fine dining Chinese restaurant by the multi-award-winning chef Jereme Leung, located in Singapore at the prestigious Raffles Hotel.


In a homecoming after leaving Singapore for Shanghai 17 years ago, Leung’s sophisticated new modern restaurant elevates Chinese cuisine both in its delectable food and the artistic décor. Having starred as a judge on MasterChef China, the chef has successfully opened nine Chinese restaurants across the world before embarking on this Singapore project. Yì by Jereme Leung which opened in September 2019 is one of the most beautiful Chinese restaurants in Singapore where the celebrity Chef takes diners on a culinary journey through China. “

A whimsical entrance decorated with white paper foliage welcomes visitors into yì by Jereme Leung. The main dining room is spacious and tastefully furnished, as are the private dining rooms. Yi by Jereme Leung presents diverse flavours of China’s many regions in the form of a delightful, contemporary creation. The 111-seater restaurant interior consists of warm earthy shades of soft browns and cream, and several artworks. A stunning, 90-feet long artwork made of 1,000 floral strands and a Pale Garden welcomes you to this Chinese culinary haven.


The friendly staff and the beautiful and varied food plating made the experience more enjoyable than usual.


The menu presents plenty of creative, modern reinterpretations of traditional dishes in a variety of choices. This innovative expression is revealed in some of the restaurant’s most appealing dishes such as the age-old food of Guangdong immigrants to Singapore, Fried Rice with Char Siew, Pork Belly and Pickled Long Beans; Shanghai-style purple rice-stuffed lotus root with osmanthus syrup; the exciting Duck Breast, Beef Tripe & Ox Tongue with Sichuan Chilli Dressing. Dim sum lovers are sure to delight in the range of offerings, both sweet and spicy such as the delicately made the steamed dumplings with porcini mushrooms and pok choy and its thin translucent skin. Purple sweet potatoes stuffed with salted egg yolk is an unusual dim sum dish you will meet on the menu. The Singapore-inspired Chilli Crab Xiao Long Bao and the very inventive Purple Sweet Potatoes with Salted Egg Yolk still packs quite the punch with its hearty character. You may round off your gastronomic voyage with the perfect dessert: Satay-spiced Ice Cream with Peanut Dust, Fruits & Nuts. Cosy cocktail bar, fine wines and other beverages are available to complement the soul-satisfying dishes.


Yi delivers beautifully exceptional dining experience in a deserving exceptional setting. There is definitely some misses with the food, but the high number of quality delivered dishes overshadowed it thereby delivering, on the whole, a tranquil and enjoyable session.
