Chef Kang's
Singapore

Chef Kang’s, a Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant was founded by Chef Ang Song Kang famously known as “Chef Kang” in 2015. Chef Kang brings his experience of over 40 years to bear at his simply furnished eatery.
He serves up his style of Cantonese cuisine with the freshest ingredients gotten from the markets. To take his cooking to a whole new level, Chef Kang travels from time to time, especially to Hong Kong and Guangzhou to get inspiration for new ideas and also to source special ingredients that make his recipes taste better. One of the signature dishes in Chef Kang’s is steamed crab with glutinous rice.
The highlight of this dish is the rice. Sticky, chewy, and infused with the sweet essence of the crab and minced garlic a-plenty, the rice is scrumptious. In the year 2017 to 2019, Chef Kang was awarded one star in the Singapore Michelin Guide with only 5 tables.
Instead of resting on his laurels after winning the award, he still spends most of his time cooking. He is assisted by another chef, who is in his 40s.
