Craft beer house Mikkeller introduces a first in cozy fine dining & craft beer pairing concept in Bangkok.

PROFILE
The progressive American restaurant with 10-course tasting menu according to owner Bark, plays around with different flavors and textures while encouraging diners to have a bit of everything in the dish altogether. Tucked away from a busy Ekamai Road in a quiet residential area, little out of the way down a few side streets and very difficult to find.

AMBIENCE
The ambience of the restaurant looks great with a simple danish design and the bar’s modern inside feel; a relaxing garden outside perfect the tranquillity.

SERVICE
The staffs are friendly, speaks good English and really well versed with their craft beers and made pretty good recommendations based on what beer pairing is best with dishes. The service is excellent and the food is above average.

FOOD
The Wagyu Beef set includes pairs olive-fed Kagawa wagyu with three forms of broccoli, black and white sesame paste and lime puree with generously-poured craft beers, most of which come from the Mikkeller. Mikkeller offers 30 taps of incredible selection of crafted beer and the staffs will let you to try the beer before you order any. The taps that are constantly changing so there is definitely something to suit everyone’s palate.

SUMMARY
Not every dish should’ve come with a suggestion of “mix everything together”, combinations taste differently from person to person; diner should be given choice in their own way of mixing each component of the dish. The beer is quite expensive for Bangkok standard but if craft is your thing this is probably the best place in the capital.
