Mexicano as one of the first Mexican restaurant in Bangkok serves authentic cuisine using freshest ingredients to deliver a menu with plenty of Mexican classics (fajitas, espetadas, tacos) and a few South Americans additions.
Mexicano is renowned as one of the best and first Mexican restaurant in Bangkok. The well-deserved reputation is obvious from the terra-cotta and stone decor creating a fittingly cozy backdrop for the regular live bands playing Latin sounds to authentic cuisine using freshest ingredients to deliver a menu with touches of Mexican classics (fajitas, espetadas, tacos) and a few South Americans additions.
Molcajetes; it consists of prawns, chicken, fresh beef, and cuttlefish bathed in an intriguingly flavourful selection of sauce.
The uniquely warm and cosy ambience is enhanced by the colourful interior design, smiling waiters and waitresses and live Mexican music. Every diner is treated like a VIP.
The restaurant is well organized as expected from this class of flavour haven. The waiters are attentive, professional and courteous delivering top-notch service. The dishes and drinks were served at the best times between meals.
The menu is extensive and has lots of vegetarian options. Starter varies from fresh seabass or shrimp ceviche plus assorted seafood on ice and corn tortilla chips to Chipotle-infused fresh cheese and fried tamarind chicken-stuffed taco rolls. The mains include the grilled seabass which can be impossibly tender and flaky with grilled cuttlefish, imported BBQ lamb roast and beef ribeye cooked to tender perfection, along with heavenly-tasting Mexican burgers. Another top-notch option in the menu is a dish which consists of a tantalizing spread of meat, veggie and cheese fillings slathered between two flour tortillas and grilled crispy-brown. Chili Relleno–a large chilli pepper stuffed with egg, cheese and dried fruit in a walnut cream sauce is delicately prepared to cause an unbelievable explosion on your taste bud.
Street cuisine showcased in the taco cart station includes the classic carnitas pork. There is a bunch of margaritas, burritos, enchilatas, chicken on a skewer, soft tacos, quesadillas, etc. Chocolate cake with flan custard topping and traditional fruit ice-lollies cannot be found wanting for desserts. Drinks are available in different brands and origins but they are very expensive.

Excellent food, professional service and cosy ambience. The food price is quite reasonable but the drink is unexpectedly exorbitant. There is a special Mexican Street Food Extravaganza on Sundays. Check it out.
