Blue by Alain Ducasse has a magnificent location in Bangkok’s fast-paced environment and is set within a grandiose décor, honoring Thai craftsmanship tradition in a vibrant design.

Arrive through a wood-panelled foyer and glimpse the main dining area under a chandelier of pleated textures in cream, supported by flowing wooden supports. The walls are a luxurious royal blue and frame a glorious expanse of floor-to-ceiling views along the river and across the city. The lounge is a space of seclusion and privacy that has been inspired by the intimate gardens, the ‘bosquets’ of the Château de Versailles, encircled by a wall of walnut and brass lamps.

Blue crab, tomato water gelée, gold caviar and Poached lobster, savoy cabbage and gala apple.

Blue is a sumptuous but still informal setting where blues, golds, creams, and natural wood dominate the palette, putting patrons at ease and in a comfortable environment. Blue’s interior decoration is a part of Chef Alain Ducasse’s belief in a total experience being created for patrons. Designed by Jouin Manku, a Parisian spatial design studio led by French designer Patrick Jouin and Canadian architect Sanjit Manku who have designed all of Alain Ducasse’s 3 Michelin star restaurants.

Service is efficient with a very pleasant and attentive team.

The menu is exclusive to Blue at ICONSIAM with carefully selected ingredients. It is contemporary French and take guests on a culinary journey. Blue brings sophisticated modern French cuisine to Bangkok offering a set lunch, the six-course Blue Experience menus and a la carte. Chef Wilfrid prepares a modern rendition of classic French dishes like lobster thermidor and peach melba. Among other exceptional dishes is the grilled lobster with Savoy cabbage and Gala apple; a poached lobster dressed with light homardine sauce, and paired with layers of Savoy cabbage stuffed with bacon. For the sweet ending try the fluffy hazelnut souffle lightly layered with chestnut praline. Wine Director Antoine Simonnet will pair some exceptional wines and a glass of “Selection Alain Ducasse” is offered to patrons. An exquisite blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier, it’s a private-label Champagne bottled by the Lanson House.
